VIDEO: Cristiano Ronaldo smashes home screamer for Al-Nassr just minutes after missing penalty

Al-Nassr made light work of Al-Fateh on home turf on Saturday night as they eased to a 5-1 win. Victory saw Al-Nassr extend their lead at the top of the Saudi Pro League to four points as they extended their winning start to the season to five matches. It was a match of mixed emotions for Cristiano Ronaldo, however, who experienced an extreme high and low in a matter of moments in the second half.

Al-Nassr took the lead in the 13th-minute through Joao Felix, but Al-Fateh drew level in the 54th minute through Sofiane Bendebka. However, Bendebka's equaliser seemed to spur the Saudi Pro League leaders into action.

Ronaldo restored Al-Nassr's lead on the hour mark before Felix added his second and their third eight minutes later. Kingsley Coman bagged the fourth for Jorge Jesus' men before Felix completed his hat-trick in the 80th minute in a dominant home display.

And Ronaldo's strike on the night was one to savour as the Portugal skipper bagged an absolute beauty with an hour on the clock.

Ronaldo received the ball on the left before cutting inside onto his wand of a right foot. Despite pressure from the Al-Fateh full-back, Ronaldo launched an unstoppable effort into the far corner, leaving goalkeeper Amin Al Bukhari clutching at thin air.

Mixed emotions for Ronaldo

The evening could have been so much different for Ronaldo and Al-Nassr, however. Just a minute before unleashing his incredible effort, the Portuguese star saw a 59th minute penalty saved by Al Bukhari.

Al-Fateh must have been buoyed by Ronaldo's penalty miss but their hopes were rapidly dashed by the former Real Madrid and Manchester United star.

Al-Nassr looking to maintain form

Al-Nassr, who added Inigo Martinez, Felix and Coman to the ranks over the summer, will look to maintain their 100% start to the domestic campaign when they face Al Hazem next weekend. Ronaldo, meanwhile, will hope to continue his solid start to the season having scored five league goals.

Felix, meanwhile, now leads the scoring charts after his hat-trick on Saturday night. The Portuguese forward has hit the ground running in Saudi Arabia after a disappointing 12 months that saw him struggle for form at Chelsea and AC Milan.

Al-Fateh have now collected just one point from their opening matches, and sit 16th in the Saudi Pro League after they were dismantled by Al-Nassr. They'll hope to claim a first league win of the season when they take on Al-Ettifaq next weekend.
