Inter Miami are reportedly interested in River Plate’s Agustín Palavecino but manager Martin Demichelis wants the youngster to stay.

While informal discussions have taken place between Miami and River regarding Palavecino, the club has not yet submitted a formal offer for the 27-year-old midfielder. Despite Palavecino's $20 million (£15.78m) release clause at River, Argentine media outlet that the Buenos Aires club is open to selling him for approximately $3.5 million (£2.76m) – the sum they paid to Deportivo Cali in 2021 to secure his services.

Palavecino, a product of the Platense youth system, has faced challenges securing a spot in the River team under the management of Martín Demichelis. However, the club president, Jorge Brito, insisted that the manager considers the player to be "important" and wants to him to stay.
WHAT RIVER PLATE PRESIDENT SAID
Speaking to reporters, Brito said: "Martín Demichelis considers Palavecino important. We did not have any formal offer, although we know of Inter Miami’s interest .”
